We’ve learned in the last 6 years that this world is not built for accessibility. Families like ours should not have to go without just because this is the life we live. Living with a disability is hard enough emotionally but when you add the financial burden, it becomes even harder.

This is where we would like to come in and become the HELPERS! We hope to help families affected by Duchenne get the equipment they deserve. Wheelchairs, Scooters, Pool Lifts, Shower Chairs, Stair Lifts, Ramps to get inside your own home…. The list goes on and on…

We also hope to work with other organizations to help with research funding. The world is a better place when we all come together.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY

Our main goal at Becks Helping Hands Inc is to help families make handicap accessibility changes to their homes. Such as ramps, stair lifts, pool lifts, and small reconstruction in some cases. Please contact us with your needs and together we will come up with a plan to help.

Loaner Equipment

We would like to collect any handicap equipment in working condition that we will be able to turn around and give/loan to other families that are in need. Everything from scooters, wheelchairs, or anything that will be helpful to others.

EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE SUPPORT

Emotional support? We want to help with that as well. Duchenne can become hard for not only the child, but their caretakers as well. The emotional toll that it takes can be overwhelming for all parties involved.

Research Funding

Clinical trials for rare diseases such as Duchenne (DMD) is very important to all families involved. Since there is no cure for Duchenne yet, Doctors and scientist need the funding to continue working towards a cure. Currently there is 5 FDA approved treatments for DMD. They slow the progression of the disease but are not a cure.

Beck Cammarata

Age: 11

Beck is a beast on Fortnite but also loves Farming and Grand Turismo. He loves racing and car shows. He loves racing go karts and watching drifting. He loves many different types of music and attending concerts. His favorite thing to do when he’s free is to ride his RZR. He has three sisters who love him dearly. Beck is 11 going on 30 with his contagious smile and positive attitude through life.

Bobby Baird

Age: 15

Bobby is 15 years old and lives in Atlanta. He loves Johnny Depp. He hopes to see a Bugatti in real life someday. He loves cracking jokes and being the center of attention. You can always find Bobby in a room waiting to tell his next joke.

Isaiah Mejia

Age: 11

Isaiah is 11 years old and lives in California. he loves to game and making things for friends. He loves animals, swimming, doing arts and crafts, and dinosaurs. He also loves to tell jokes. He is loving, sweet, bright and witty.
